Geolocation

Our Geolocation system is a real-time cellular positioning solution for handsets using 2G (GSM), 3G (UMTS) and 4G (LTE) networks. The solution plays a key role in enabling governmental authorities to retrieve the location of local cellular handsets in cases of emergency and for search and rescue missions.

The Geolocation system is based on an advanced core infrastructure and is presented on an intuitive user interface for quick and easy positioning of cellular Handsets.

Geolocation system provides the following main benefits:

  • Locates the approximate area (Cell ID level) of cellular handsets using 2G, 3G & 4G networks - Generates passive or active queries to obtain cellular handset location information
  • Leverages a GMLC core infrastructure - Offers a stable query inf restructure and mechanisms for handset location
  • Generates real-time alerts relating to cellular handset movements or communication behavior - Presents indicative alerts for network events created by the selected cellular handsets
  • Analyzes a cellular handset's routine and movements - Uses query reports to identify and analyze location patterns of cellular handsets

Operational Use Cases

Basic Queries

Basic queries enable Geolocation system users to identify the last known location of a handset based on its MSISDN or IMSI identifiers. After inserting the identifier, the location result appears on the map together with additional handset and network Information.

Geo-Fencing

Geo-fencing queries are used to alert Geolocation system users when predefined handsets enter or exit an area of interest. The area of interest can be plotted as a polygon on the map.

Once a predefined handset enters or exits the area of interest (AOI), an indicative alert appears on the Geolocation system user interface.

Basic Queries

Periodic queries allow Geolocation system users to track handsets over time and automatically send periodic location requests based on a predefined frequency and during a specific period of time.

The results of these periodic queries are plotted on the map, together with the respective handset and network information for each query.
